Welcome to Bpsjk we have put our Terms & Conditions below so that everyone has a clear understanding about the Lessons you pay for and the Terms & Conditions we have as a club, this will help students and parents understand our rules .
Lesson payments
When you become a member you will choose a base class and pay for your lessons in one of the following ways, 4, 12, 24 or 48 weeks of lessons or Unlimited paid monthly . (Please note that 4 weeks do not include a free lesson but all other payments include free lessons the more you buy the more free lessons you receive ). You can train at our other classes with either one of your free lessons or pay extra on the day. ( except unlimited monthly payments which included training at any venue but the advanced wednesday class must be included in your Unlimited payment to apply ). Class fees at Black Panther School of Japanese Karate are non-refundable as the fees that are paid secure your place in the Dojo.
Taking holidays
When decide to take a holiday outside of our club holidays you will have to use one of your free lessons that you may have remaining from your 12, 24 or 48 weeks of lesson fees. If you don’t have any free lessons remaining from your long term lesson payments you may move one lesson on to another class within that same week only, otherwise the payment from your missed lesson will be charged.
If you are ill
Not able to attend a class due to illness ?, we will need 6-hours notice otherwise you will forfeit your lesson fee alternatively you can attend a lesson within that week meaning that we move that 1 lesson on and you don’t loose your lesson fee.
Sudden or unexpected illness;
If you feel unwell when you are travelling to your lesson please let us know by text asap.
Continuous Illness :
If you are ill for more than 2 weeks please bring a sick note from your doctor we can then move on the lessons that you have missed.
Leaving:
If you decide to leave the BPSJKarate we need 4-weeks paid notice we can then open up your space for another waiting student.

Payment methods
We accept Cash, Bank Transfer and most major credit/debit card payments for all transactions in class or in our shop online. Sundays are exclusive of Card payments. a small charge of 1.75% may apply for card payments.
Our Martial arts shop
You can buy any martial arts karate suits equipement and much more at our club website please visit www.sjkkarate.co.uk or www.bpsjkarate.co.uk. When you make a purchase on BPSJK’s website shop , you can conveniently pay using Visa, Mastercard, or PayPal you can also have the purchase brought to your class free of charge or pay for P&P and have the items delivered straight to you instead . You can also buy some Martial arts pads etc at your class and pay at the desk by Izettle and any card.
We accept Izettle payments which will automatically add you into our discount scheme, see your Instructor who will ask you to fill in just a few details and you will then earn points towards discounts, you can pay with any card. Please note that we do not accept cheques.
Terms & Conditions
General Information joining or cancelling .
If you’re thinking about joining us we have a discounted joining package for new students who have attended a trial , we offer a cooling off period of 7 days for the package purchase only. During this time, you can claim a partial refund, minus any applicable admin fees. Just make sure that you haven’t participated in any further lessons and that the clothing provided remains unworn and unopened for a partial refund.

Cancelling your membership
Please note that all deposits and any fees paid are none refundable if you just change your mind about training in karate. (Including special long term discounted lesson fees).
If after joining us you want to leave the club because you move more than 15 miles away from any of Bpsjkarate classes, you will have 7 days from the date you joined us to let us know in writing. You will only receive a partial refund of your Joining package, his must be in the package period. The refund will be paid either by cheque or bank transfer within 30 days and administration fees will apply.
If you are paying the joining package in instalments and you leave without notice then the full package price becomes payable, will will take these matters to court if the outstanding amount is not paid. Any Karate suit or pads etc that were supplied with your package must be returned in the original packaging and unworn.

Complaints
We want to make sure our members are happy with our service, but sometimes things don’t go as planned. If you have a complaint, please let us know as soon as possible. First, talk to the Instructors at your club and if you are still not satisfied then please contact Shihan Christine who will look into your complaint.

Positive behaviour
BPSJK are committed to making all our members feel comfortable in our club. making sure that you come into a warm and welcoming environment.
Having devised a set of policies that highlight the positive behavior we expect from each and every one of our members. We kindly request you to take a moment to peruse and embrace our terms and conditions, as they play a pivotal role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
- Respect and Safety: We have a zero tolerance policy for any form of verbal abuse, intimidation, or physical threats towards our staff or fellow members will not tolerated.
- If any incidents of this nature occur, we reserve the right to take immediate action, including reporting the matter to the appropriate authorities, permanently banning the individual from the club, and canceling their membership without refund.
- Breach of Membership Agreement: If a member repeatedly violates the terms of our membership agreement or club rules and fails to rectify the situation within seven days of notification, we may cancel their membership.
- We believe in maintaining a respectful and harmonious atmosphere for all our members, and it is essential that everyone adheres to the agreed-upon guidelines.
- Misuse of Membership: If we discover that another person has been using your membership to access the club, we reserve the right to cancel your entire membership. This measure helps us maintain the integrity of our membership system and ensure that everyone contributes their fair share.
- Inappropriate Behavior: We expect all members and their guests to conduct themselves in a respectful and courteous manner while at any BPSJK Club. Any use of rude or abusive language, violent or aggressive behavior, or threat thereof will result in immediate action, including possible suspension or cancellation of membership.
- We provide a welcome and safe environment for everyone and we expect the same from our students.
- Non-Usage of Facilities: If a member fails to attend their lessons for an extended period of more than one calendar month without providing notice, we may choose to cancel their entire membership. We understand that circumstances may arise that prevent regular use of the facilities, but consistent non-usage affects the availability of memberships for other individuals.
- Complaints and Disruptive Behavior: Should we receive a complaint about a member’s behavior or if a member persistently exhibits inappropriate conduct that hinders the experience of other club members, we reserve the right to suspend the individual’s membership. However, members have the right to appeal our decision, except in cases of severe misconduct. We strive to maintain fairness and uphold our commitment to fostering a positive environment for all.
Membership Fee Policies:
- Pay your Club fees on time.
- In the event of any missed payments, we will promptly notify the member concerned. If necessary, we may refer the outstanding payment(s) to a debt collection agency.
- Administration Fees; If you fall behind on package payments for more than 30 days this may result in an administration fee of £75. An additional charge of £10 for each missed payment.
- We encourage all members to meet their financial obligations promptly to avoid any unnecessary charges.
- Restricted Access; Failure to settle outstanding membership fees may temporarily prohibit a member and any linked individuals (both adults and children) from entering any BPSJK Club premises.
Membership Cancellation:
If a member wishes to terminate their membership, they must provide us with a written notice of their intention to leave the club at least four weeks in advance. This ensures proper processing and allows for a smooth transition. You will need to pay Four weeks of lessons before you leave.
We value your commitment to BPSJK Club and ask that you abide by these rules and policies to create an enjoyable experience for all members.
